Welcome to the McMillan PTA website! The purpose of the PTA is to support and enhance McMillan Junior High School by providing services for school functions, engage in fundraising projects, encourage parent, teacher, and community involvement, and cooperate with school administration in providing educational opportunities. Funds that are raised by the PTA are used to purchase items and equipment that would not otherwise be provided.

Saturday, October 24th from 6-8pm
Spooktacular is a collaboration between McMillan Junior High PTA and Davis Intermediate PTA to bring our community a fun fall festival filled with activities for the whole family!
The evening will include inflatables, food trucks, face painting, games, trunk-or-treating, and so much more! And new this year — a petting zoo!
McMillan and Davis PTAs invite you to show your community spirit by decorating a trunk and joining our Trunk-or-Treat! Register your trunk using this Google Form.

Reflections has been a staple arts program in many schools for over 50 years. Unleash your creativity! 🎨✨Reflections is officially calling for entries, starting with McMillan and top awards will move to the district level judges.
This year’s theme is "What My Culture Means to Me". We want students to express their unique stories, traditions, and backgrounds through the arts! There is no single definition of culture and no single way to tell your story. Explore the arts and express yourself!

Students are invited to the Kona Ice Truck on Thursday, Nov 5th! It’s a fun treat for them, and a portion of the sales are donated back to the school. 🍧❤️
During 7th and 8th grade lunch at privilege times, all students can head out to the truck to purchase. PTA student members can use their "Fast Pass" perk to skip the lines! It's not too late to join at www.joinpta.org.

McMillan PTA is hard at work planning our upcoming schoolwide fundraiser, and this year we’re doing things a little differently!
Instead of using a large outside fundraising company, our PTA is taking on the fundraiser ourselves. That means more of what our McMillan families and community raise can stay right here to support our Pirates and our school.

Anyone can become a member of the PTA? We encourage everyone to become active members of the PTA including parents, teachers, students, siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, community members, and friends!

We LOVE parent volunteers! We have many fun events PTA will be hosting this year for our Pirates but we need YOUR help! Whether it is donating your time, donating items, or working on projects from your home, there are different ways you can volunteer to help make events a success. Don’t have time to be at the school, but still want to help? Your talents can still be used in various other ways! Please submit the Google Form, putting a check by the events that you would be interested in receiving more information about or would be interested in helping us with. Thank you so much for your support!

If you are interested in helping with any program or event at McMillan, please see the sign up. We have Privilege Concessions (Fridays) or Kona Ice truck (Thursday/Friday) as well as several other events throughout the year.

APEX Fundraiser: Sept 30 - October 10th
Mark your calendars for our McMillan APEX Fundraiser! During the Apex fundraiser, students will be challenged to get donations from family and friends to help our school. We'll end the 2-week fundraiser with a celebratory event called "The Apex Games" for students who participate in the fundraiser (think inflatables, games, fun raffle prizes, snacks, loud music, high energy, and FUN!)

Reflections has been a staple arts program in many schools for over 50 years. Through the efforts of our Local PTAs, millions of students have found a creative outlet in the areas of dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography, and visual arts. This is an annual art contest every fall.

WORLD WEAR PROJECT: We have partnered with World Wear Project to host a textile recycle bin on campus! Your contributions of items including clothing, shoes, belts, purses, wallets, hats, caps, backpacks, hard toys and stuffed animals, will be recycled as secondhand clothing, processed into wiping rags or converted into fiber. Not only will you be doing a good thing for the environment by keeping these items out of landfills, you will also be helping to raise funds for our school! McMillan receives $0.15 for every pound we donate! Drop items off anytime in the bin located in the school parking lot. If your items do not fit in the bin, please do not leave anything on the ground outside of the bin.
